Boards are being asked to govern through a more complex operating environment: emerging technology, regulatory pressure, sustainability expectations, workforce risk, operational disruption, and stakeholder scrutiny. The challenge is not simply having more information. The challenge is turning complex information into sound judgment, practical oversight, and durable business performance.
As Founder and Executive Advisor of Leading EHS, I advise boards, executive teams, and advisory groups on the connection between governance, operational integrity, EHS, sustainability, regulatory risk, innovation, and long-term enterprise value.
My governance experience includes board advisory roles, nonprofit board service, appointed board chair leadership, executive committee support, and direct reporting to boards and board committees across public, private, nonprofit, academic, aviation, technology, and professional association environments.
My advisory work is grounded in more than three decades of executive leadership across chemicals, metals, aerospace, glass, manufacturing, occupational medicine, and industrial services. I have led enterprise EHS, sustainability, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, transportation safety, and operational risk functions in both public and privately held companies. That experience gives me a practical view of what boards need most: clear risk visibility, disciplined execution, credible reporting, and leadership systems that work beyond the meeting room.
I help organizations strengthen governance in areas where safety, sustainability, innovation, compliance, and business strategy intersect. This includes risk governance, ESG and sustainability strategy, regulatory readiness, AI and digital transformation of EHS systems, operational performance improvement, crisis preparedness, and executive leadership effectiveness.
A significant part of my career has involved preparing board-level reports, completing board-directed assignments, and presenting directly to boards, board committees, CEOs, and executive leadership teams. I translate complex operational, safety, environmental, sustainability, and regulatory data into decision-ready narratives that help directors and senior leaders understand exposure, evaluate tradeoffs, and act with confidence.
My BBA in Economics, combined with executive operating experience, allows me to advise beyond technical EHS matters. I bring a business lens to governance discussions involving financial performance, commercial risk, capital allocation, enterprise resilience, stakeholder trust, and license to operate.
My approach is direct and practical. Compliance is the floor. The real value is better control of the process. Strong governance should improve foresight, oversight, and insight while helping leaders protect people, preserve trust, reduce risk, and build organizations capable of sustained performance.
